- Description: Hornstone Adena / Turkeytail Harrison - This fine piece is either an Adena or a Turkeytail Harrison with weak shoulders. It is made of Hornstone and is thin and well flaked. It has nice symmetry and form. This piece is from the collection of Mr. Chan Strader of Athens, Kentucky. Chan dug, surface hunted, and collected artifacts all around the Central Kentucky area. Mr. Strader passed away over 20 years ago and left his collection to his cousin, Bobby Dodd, who donated the major portion to the University of Kentucky. Bobby's wife gave away a case of pieces that he had kept to a family friend. Only these few items of this collection remain available to collectors. Ex- Bill Harper

- Description: HUGE Kentucky Hornstone Turkeytail Knife - Here is a beautiful BIG piece of Hornstone. Davis classified it as a Turkeytail Knife. It is gray with a tan cortex tip. It has great flaking (see photos). Comes with a Tom Davis COA. This is a well patinated, finely flaked, massive piece of Archaic period blade that would make a fine addition to anyone's frame. - Description: Adena Turkeytail Harrison - This piece has a very nice tip. It has two ancient chigger bites to one side that do not hurt the way it displays. The base is ground on the sides and lighter where the tail tapers in. Found in Estill Co., KY, it is made from a highly "pitted" translucent material that is probably either Sonora or Hornstone.

It has a VERY NICE tip and has been re-sharpened until it almost looks like a Fulton. It is made of Kentucky Hornstone and was found in Central Kentucky. - Description: Snapped Base Turkeytail Fulton - Here is a great piece for someone wishing to restore it to it's former glory. It is a Turkeytail Fulton with an extended "needle tip". It is VERY thin and has very good symmetry. It has NO damage except for the anciently snapped off base. Both ears are intact. It is made out of gray Hornstone, most likely Harrison County Chert.
