Description: First Stage Mini or "Micro-Notch" Pine Tree - G-10 -  Here is an absolute GEM of a Pine Tree.  What it lacks in size, it makes up in Quality.  This Pinetree is very near 1st Stage.  It has GREAT FORM and SYMMETRY and is SERRATED to a needle tip.  THIS is a true G-10.  I have heard this type of Pinetree refered to as a "Micro-Notch" Pinetree.  It is made of Boyle Chert, has lots of fossils including a GREAT Shell in the base (see photos).  It was found in 2006 by Joe Fairbanks in Bath County, Kentucky.  If you like REALLY fine smaller pieces to fill in the spaces in your frames, this is one of the finest! From Jewdy's Frame!  Ex- Monty Pennington

Description: Ohio Carter Cave PineTree - This piece has been removed from our Web Site.  After coming across another piece of this material and taking to Tom Davis, we have determined that it is "probably" a contemporary piece.  I am returning it to consigner.  It may be a Gil Chumley piece.  This material we do NOT believe to be Carter Chert although it does appear that way at first appearance.  It has what appear to be mineral deposits, but rather than sitting ON the surface they are actually in inclusions that are in the material.
