Here are a list of Kentucky events and activities scheduled for the next couple of months. We'll update this page frequently, so check back often to stay up to date.

LAAS - Lakes Area Archaeological Society Meeting
February 5th, 7pm-9pm
Public Library in Eddyville, KY Contact Marvin McKinney. Discussion on Authentic Indian Artifacts, New Finds, Point of the Month, Up Coming Shows and Occasional Professional Speakers from the Archaeology Field. Food and refreshments are served. AFACA MONTHLY MEETING - Madison County, Kentucky
February 6th, 6:30pm-11pm
Appalachian Foothills Artifact Collectors Association meets in the Upstairs Meeting Room - Waco Fire Department. 7 miles out US 52E from Richmond. Food and refreshments are provided each meeting with the proceeds going to the Waco Volunteer Fire Department. We concentrate on helping members learn to identify Lithic Materials and Typology and to learn how to distinguish between authentic and reproduction artifacts. We Do allow buying, selling, and trading artifacts, frames, books, etc. We occasionally have a Speaker or Authenticator in the field of Archaeology or Prehistoric Artifacts. LEXINGTON PREHISTORIC ARTIFACT SHOW

Show Hours: Saturday Dealer Set up 7:00-8:00 AM--Show 8:00 AM-3:00 PM,

 Table Information: 100 six foot tables are available @ $10 per table for dealers and display only collectors.
Admission: Free admission to all
Lodging: Holiday Inn North (859) 233-0512 Show Rules: Only Authentic Indian Artifacts allowed. No guns or Pre Columbian will be permitted.
The show host reserves the right to ask any dealer to remove items from their table.

Cumberland River Archaeological Society Meeting

RIPLEY INDIAN ARTIFACT SHOW

Show Rules: Only Authentic Indian Artifacts or related items allowed. Restored or reproductions must be labeled. The show host reserves the right to ask any dealer to remove items from their table.

GALLATIN K&W PREHISTORIC ARTIFACT AUCTION

Auction Information: Up to 400 lots of Authentic Indian Artifacts are to be sold to the highest bidder. A complete list of the artifacts and their description will be available for viewing on this website so please check back.
There will be a 10% buyers’ premium and a sales tax of 9.25% will be charged per item.  Items sold and shipped out of Tennessee will not be charged sales tax. Absentee bids and phone bids will be accepted through 2/23/07 so call (615) 230-0056, fax (615) 452-2204 or email listed above.  Day of Sale phone bid arrangements or absentee bids must be made by Wednesday, February 21, 2007. Day of Sale phone number will be posted here when it is available. 
Auction Items: Auction items will include items from the personal collection of Tom & David Davis of Stanton, Kentucky, collection items from Banner Members on Arrowheads.com, collection items from Steve Walker and   Karl Kilguss. There will be numerous flint, hardstone, pottery, bone and shell artifacts which will enhance any collection. Most items sold will carry a Certificate of Authenticity or will be guaranteed authentic.
                  

Auction Guarantee: All items are guaranteed authentic with a 30 day guarantee on authenticity. Items sold that come with two or more certificates of authenticity will be considered authentic in advance.

Show Notes: Saturday night there will be hospitality supper and get together at the Shoney’s Inn from 6:00 PM-9:00 PM that is provided by the VSAS. Saturday night at the Shoney’s Inn is what makes this show one of the best where all artifact lovers go from room to room making deals and trades until the late hours.

Auction Information: 493 lots of Authentic Indian Artifacts are to be sold to the highest bidder. A colored, Illustrated catalog of auction items is available for $15 or one year subscription $60, Canada$80.
A 10% buyers premium and 6.75% sales tax will be charged on each item. Tax exemptions will
be allowed with a state tax exemption number or on shipments made out of the state of Ohio. Absentee bids and phone bids will be accepted so call (419) 422-8531 or fax (419) 422-. 5321.  If you plan to phone bid, please make arrangements during the week before the sale. Absentee bids must be sent in or called in by Friday before the sale. A “prices realized list” .  will be sent out after each auction. For live internet bidding go to
