Archival Pieces Haw River pg 1
Item: FP239                               Tom Davis COA
Description: RARE Transitional Paleo Haw River - This Rare Paleo was found in Garrard County, Kentucky.  It is made of Fort Payne Chert which has highly patinated in beautiful shades of Gray.  It has Excellent Flaking and shape for the type.  The tip was either made this way or broken and squared off anciently and used that way.  We sent this fine piece to Tom Davis and Tom graded it a G-8.  This typology is hard to find and even harder to find with high quality flaking.  An excellent addition to ANY Paleo collection.  Ex- B. Tyree, Ex- Monty & Jewdy Pennington

Item: FP403    *NEW*
Description: Big, Wide, Fossilifferous Paleo Blade - Found in Clinton County, Indiana on the H. Knapp Farm.  Made of Fossilifferous Chert.  Lots of color.  An ancient "burin" fracture near tip of blade. (see photos).  Jon Dickinson thought this was a Sloan Dalton, Tom Davis thought it was probably a Haw River & I tend to agree, you decide.  Either way, it's a well made, thin for size, Very early blade.  Ex- Jon Dickinson, Ex- K. Carson, Ex- Monty Pennington
