Description: Fantastic Sonora Chert Adena - This Big Adena has a lightly ground, well shaped base.  It has near perfect symmetry.  It has a good tip and nice flaking for the type.  It has Very nice color.  It is made from highly collectible Sonora Chert.  It was found in Madison County, Kentucky.  It is pictured on Overstreet 11th Edition on page 345.   Ex- John Bobbitt, Ex- John Gibson

Description: Hornstone Adena / Turkeytail Harrison - This fine piece is either an Adena or a Turkeytail Harrison with weak shoulders.  It is made of Hornstone and is thin and well flaked.  It has nice symmetry and form.  This piece is from the collection of Mr. Chan Strader of Athens, KentuckyChan dug, surface hunted, and collected artifacts all around the Central Kentucky area.  Mr. Strader passed away over 20 years ago and left his collection to his cousin, Bobby Dodd, who donated the major portion to the University of Kentucky.  Bobby's wife gave away a case of pieces that he had kept to a family friend.  Only these few items of this collection remain available to collectors.  Ex- Bill Harper

Description: Beautiful Mottled Fort Payne Adena - This Fantastic Adena Robbins was found by Nick Lester on the banks of Silver Creek in Madison County, KY.  It exhibits as fine a flaking and symmetry and form as you will find in an Adena.  It was represented to me as an "Indented Base" Adena such as Overstreet has shown in the past.  I am not sure that it is but is IS an extraordinarily well made Adena out of a beautifully patinated piece of material.  Ex- B. Description: Adena Turkeytail Harrison - This piece has a very nice tip.  It has two ancient chigger bites to one side that do not hurt the way it displays.  The base is ground on the sides and lighter where the tail tapers in.  Found in Estill Co., KY, it is made from a highly "pitted" translucent material that is probably either Sonora or Hornstone.

Description: Big Adena - Here is a big nice Adena from Benton County, TN.  Made of a cream to tan colored chert.  It has nice length and symmetry and a serrated edge.  This side very nicely flaked the other side having a large part of the cortex and very finely flaked around the edges.  Has an ancient ding to the tip that has been worked back over.  Nice BIG size and well shaped.  Ex- John Duncan, Ex- Monty Pennington
